~Nash Days~

Thursdays are dedicated to the little man of my life, my nephew, Nash Bird! Or to him "Big Nash." Since Nash was a baby I have been so lucky to be able to spend at least one day a week with him. That is 2 1/2 years worth of Nash Days!! And I love every minute of it! When Nash was a baby it was a lot of typically baby duties, feeding, rocking, diaper changing. But now that is he is older, we have so much fun together.

We have taken adventures to the park, chick-fil-a playground (bonus for me...good food!), story time at the library, and whatever else I we feel like we should explore. He is such a good boy and even enjoys a shopping trip or two , I mean getting out of the house for a bit ;-).

Backyard Playing

Hiding at Shilito Park

Eating like a big boy at the table

Computer whiz already

Learning at the Library

Best Friends with Lulah (my westie)

Needless to say he is pretty much a big deal in my life. He comes up with the funniest sayings. Its always fun to tell Mommy (my sister) all about our adventures at the end of the day.

As you could guess, Nash is going to be the ring bearer at my wedding next month. We have been practicing walking down the aisle...as he says "walking to uncle Steve." Today I made him the cutest shirt to wear at the reception. Nash has some stylish dance moves, so everyone better watch out on the dance floor!!

Rings!!

Today was a fun day for me! I have really been struggling with finding the right wedding band to match my engagement ring. It really shouldn't be that hard, since my ring simple compared to some, but for some reason I just didn't like anything that I tired on. Over the last couple months, I have tired pong bands, wraps, guards, channel sets and yet nothing seem to be perfect. Lucky, I have a pretty amazing aunt and she had 2 rings made for me that matched my engagement ring!! Finally, rings I love! Now I know that I sound spoiled at this point, but the way I see it.....if you are going to spend that much money on jewelry, then you should LOVE it.  So now the goal is to convince Steve that he loves it just as much as I do. ;-)

This is my engagement ring....you will have to wait to see the full set!

Only One Month to Go...

As my wedding planning is coming to a end, I have been contemplating about what I am going to do with all my free time. I have been researching the blogging world for some time now and I have decided to embrace it and start one of my own. I don't really feel like I have anything to say that is important enough for anyone else to read, so this may end up being a release for me to "get it all out." Whatever the case....I hope you enjoy!

My life is coming full circle for me right now, with only a month left for my big wedding day. I have been remiscing about the last 2 1/2 years Steve and I have spent together. We have had some amazing vacations, expereienced new adventures, spent hours learning about each other and getting know each other's families. I still can't believe sometimes we are getting married. I remember like it was yesterday, when Steve proposed...and I just kept telling myself I was going to wake up out of this dream soon.  I remember my first words to him were "Are you serious...you want to marry me?" Without missing a beat he had the perfect answer. "Of Course I Do!" ;-) I have looked forward to this day for most of my life and I feel so lucky that God has bought Steve and I together. He has been there for me when I needed him the most and has yet to let me down. Now don't get me wrong, it hasn't been all laughs and smiles, but everyday we learn more about each other and how to have a Godly marriage. I am definitely counting down the days until we say "I do" in front of all our friends and family. Both have been so supportive during our relationship, encouraging and guiding us along the way. *~It's going to be a party to remember!!~*
